Jean Alesi has analyzed the difficult moment Ferrari is going through this year, harshly criticizing some figures at the top of the team who, in his view, are not fit to hold those roles.
Ferrari began the season with high expectations following the launch of the SF-25, but the team was soon forced to scale down its ambitions.
The car has revealed — and continues to reveal — numerous weaknesses, preventing Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton from performing at the level of McLaren and, often, even Mercedes and Red Bull (with Max Verstappen).
So what is the root cause that has plagued the Maranello team for nearly two decades, preventing it from returning to its former glory? According to Jean Alesi — a true icon for the Italian team during the 1990s — the issue lies with certain individuals in top management positions.

Alesi highly critical of Ferrari's management

“Vasseur doesn’t have the kind of authority someone like Jean Todt once had,”  the Frenchman told La Stampa.
“The difficulties don’t lie in his decisions, but rather in certain individuals within Ferrari today who want to be in charge but lack the necessary competence. I believe Lewis can soon return to his top form — it’s just a matter of properly adapting to the car.”
After 10 Grands Prix, Ferrari finds itself in third place in the Constructors’ Championship, having also been overtaken by Mercedes, who scored a significant haul of points last weekend in Canada. The gap to McLaren, meanwhile, stands at a staggering 191 points.
