Sir Jackie Stewart has concerns with F1 set to return to the Netherlands in 2020

F1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart drove at the Zandvoort in the 60s and 70s, but the 80-year-old has admitted that he isn't sure on the new Dutch circuit which will return to the grid for the 2020 season.

During his time as a driver, Stewart saw two incidents, firstly in 1970 he lost a best friend and then just two years on fellow driver Roger Williamson was unable to escape from his car.

"It's a big event for that one Dutch driver, what's his name again," Stewart joked in an interview with Motorsport.com.

“We thought Spa had been orange in recent years, but it will be Zandvoort. It is only difficult to get on and off the circuit, in my time that was already difficult."

“He is a very good driver and drives more and more mature as he gets older. He always makes better decisions. Or less often decisions that can turn out wrong."

The Dutch Grand Prix returns to the grid for 2020 as the circuit goes up to 22 races next season.
