Sebastian Vettel is returning behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car. The German, who retired from F1 last winter, will give a demonstration on the Nürburgring's legendary Nordschleife. The four-time World Champion will do so in a car of the team with which he celebrated his greatest successes: Red Bull Racing.
The demonstration will take place on 9 September. The German will drive on the historic track in the Eifel region with the RB7 using E-fuel. This was used during Vettel's 2011 World Championship winning season. Earlier, it was announced that Daniel Ricciardo - Vettel's teammate in the past and currently third driver with the Austrian team - will also give a demonstration.

53 wins in Formula 1

It is exactly 10 years this year since Vettel won the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, a dream come true for him at the time. Ultimately, Vettel reached 53 wins in Formula 1 in his career. Only Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher took more wins in an F1 race. Vettel won Grands Prix for Red Bull Racing, Toro Rosso and Ferrari. With his last team Aston Martin, he could not get the German anthem to sound.

The event at which Vettel will drive his F1 car is organised by Red Bull. It is called the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring.
