Schumacher sets out his targets for 2020

Mick Schumacher is entering his second season in Formula 2 and despite not reaching the heights he may have hoped for, the youngster is setting his aims high this season.

With the surname Schumacher there's a lot of expectation but in his one season in Formula 2 he was unable to light up the scene as he finished twelfth in his debut season winning one race. However, the youngster is hoping for a change in fortunes in 2020 and is setting his sights on competing with the leaders of the division.

"My goal is to compete this year with the best, if not to ride at the top," Schumacher told Speedweek.com.

Schumacher will be hoping he can produce the performances that will earn him a move into F1 and despite not yet reaching the pinnacle of motorsport he's remaining positive about gaining experience in F2.

"Of course it would have been nice to be in Formula 1 already, but it can be positive to be in a junior category for an extra year to gain more experience," he added.
