Carlos Sainz caused a surprise in Britain by setting the fastest time in qualifying and securing pole position. Many on social media were also surprised, although the support for the Spaniard was also palpable.

Happy for #Sainz to get his first #F1 #P1 qualifying at a rain drenched #BritishGP today. This may be his only chance to win a race, ever. However, #Verstappen & #Leclerc are right behind him & it could get feisty at the start to gift #Perez or #Hamilton a win at #Silverstone!
