Sainz loving life at Renault

Carlos Sainz is currently on loan from Red Bull but admits he is “loving it” at Renault, as he waits to confirm where his future is at.

They key person Sainz is depending on is Daniel Ricciardo. If he is to leave Red Bull at the end of 2018, Carlos is expected to take his seat.

But the Spaniard is happy to stay at Renault if he needs and is clearly impressed with results so far this year.

“Definitely the future could be with Renault and I’m ready for it if it comes,” said Sainz.

Sainz has finished in the points twice this year, just missing out with an 11th place finish in Bahrain.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Renault car will perform when they bring their extra power to the grid.
