Carlos Sainz will start from second place at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. With only George Russell ahead of him, his chances of a second victory are open, but the Spaniard finds it hard to say whether this will actually happen.
The Madrian-born driver expects that it will take a lot to get a win. "I guess get a good start first of all, and then nail the tyre management. I think it's going to be quite tricky," he analysed in the FIA press conference. "I think the race is going to be a long race. 70 laps."

Sainz on battle plan against Russell

Russell surprisingly managed to get pole position in qualifying. This also came as a surprise to Sainz, making it difficult for him to say how he will fare against the Brit. Nevertheless, he is confident of a strong race.
"As I said, the race pace of the Merc is going to be an unknown and we don't know if they're going to be as quick as today or not," Sainz said. "I felt very comfortable with the car all weekend so we should be quick tomorrow."
