Russell wins virtual Brazilian Grand Prix, beating Albon and Fittpaldi

The Virtual Grand Prix of Brazil was won by George Russell. Starting from fourteenth on the grid, the Brit drove to a neat victory ahead of Enzo Fittipaldi and Alexander Albon. The title, however, goes to Fittipaldi.

Sunday night was the third and final race of the virtual Formula One championship. In this championship, real sim racers qualified on the F1 2020 game from Codemasters, and their real-world teammates had to finish in the race. However, this was not made easy for Russell by Alvaro Carreton.

The Williams sim racer ensured that Russell had to start from fourteenth on the grid. His rivals Albon and Fittipaldi were better off, starting in fifth and ninth places respectively. That didn't stop Russell from taking the win though, with Fittipaldi and Albon behind him.

With two wins from three races, Russell did not take the title, however, as he was absent from the first race. Fittipaldi, however, was present at all three races, and with his victory in the first race and consistent performances in the other two races, he was able to grab victory in the standings on Sunday.
