George Russell is the surprise of the season with Williams. The British driver drives one of the least powerful cars on the circuit but is usually in the middle of the field. The driver is proud of his performance.
Russell tells in an interview with Express that he has a healthy dose of self-confidence. "You know, as as a driver, you always believe in yourself. And when I was much younger, I thought I was going to be easy, I believed I could fly to the moon if I wanted to and conquer anything, as most of the kids believe in. And I think it's only as I grew a bit older I recognised how difficult that is."
The Williams driver is pleased with that insight. "I think by recognising that so early, it really helped me to channel my energy into really getting more out myself and I think it's just it's great that people recognise the hard work and what we're [Williams] have been achieving on track because I don't think that often happens."

Russell vs Bottas

Russell's name is high on Mercedes' wish list. The German racing stable is in doubt whether to continue with Valtteri Bottas next year or opt for Russell. The decision will be made in the coming weeks.
