Ricciardo will get a new race engineer if he stays at Red Bull

Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo will get a new race engineer if a new deal is agreed at Red Bull.

Ricciardo looks like he will be reunited with Mike Lugg, who worked with the Australian in his Formula 3 days.

Reports are suggesting that Lugg will be working with Red Bull for the rest of this season to gain valuable experience in Formula One.

Simon Rennie is set to be replaced at the end of the season by Lugg.

Rennie is reportedly moving into a factory role after five years as an engineer at the energy drink brand.

Ricciardo is set to sign a new contract with Red Bull, after speculation he was looking for a move away from the Austrian side.

When the contract is official, Lugg will be with the Aussie yet again following their successful spell together at Carlin.
