Ricciardo beams at Verstappen mention: ‘It makes me proud’

Ricciardo was present at the Connect Event 2025 and spoke talked about his former teammate: "Now seeing Max go on to be a four-time world champion. Four-time? I lose count he has won that many now. He's four-time world champion, I'm proud.”

Ricciardo elaborated and felt an extra sense of pride because Verstappen is his former teammate: "Like okay, that was cool — that was a teammate I had, that's someone I shared a lot of time and track with.”

The Australian previously commented on what he appreciates most about Max Verstappen. If he had to choose who to support as a fan, he would pick Verstappen.
