Ricciardo aiming for Hockenheim revenge on Hulkenberg

Daniel Ricciardo may have been beaten by his new teammate Nico Hulkenberg in qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix but the Renault driver is already looking for revenge and has identified Hockenheim as a perfect location.

Ricciardo qualified 12th in a time of 1:22.570 but was beaten by German Hulkenberg with the Renault pair exiting qualifying in Q2. The pair finished 11th and 12th respectively but Ricciardo won’t be happy to have been out-qualified by his teammate at his home grand prix.

The former Red Bull driver signed for Renault having left the prior at the end of 2018 but already has a battle on his hands. Despite this Ricciardo took it lightly and even targeted revenge.

"He can have today,” Ricciardo joked.

“Amongst others, but Hockenheim I'll put a target on him..." he added.
