Earlier this morning we asked you who you thought was the quickest driver on the grid. The poll has been up for about an hour and we now have some results.
It would appear that many people believe that reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton is the best driver on the grid. Currently 33% of the people that voted thought that Hamilton was naturally the best driver and racer.
Max Verstappen was also deemed the quickest with 33% of people also thinking that he was the fastest driver. Could he be a future world champion?
Surprisingly, multiple world champion Sebastian Vettel only got 3% of votes. Perhaps people believe that his success was due to having the best car rather than his driving skills.
It seems that the voters do not necessarily believe that world championship success and having the best driving skill and ability relate. Is this a problem Formula 1 has? Would you rather see the drivers compete on a level playing field? Come 2021 it seems that the budget cap will make things a bit fairer so we can see who really is the quickest driver.
