Formula 1 cars are full of technical gadgets that can hardly be explained to an ordinary person. The cars competing in the 2024 World Championship also have a lot of novelties. If you look closely at the steering wheel of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell's Mercedes, you will see a very conspicuous button on it from now on: a green one with the WhatsApp logo.
Hamilton and Russell can therefore Whatsapp from their W15 while racing. At least, sort of: the button from the radio to their team now has the WhatsApp logo. So really typing messages is not possible for the Mercedes drivers.

Mercedes has now released a picture of Hamilton and Russell's steering wheel. The button is there, because Mercedes F1 have signed a sponsorship agreement with WhatsApp.
