Helmut Marko has suggested if the Red Bull boys crash again in a race, team orders will be brought in.
Daniel Ricciardo and
Max Verstappen have been given a final warning after their collision in Baku.
Christian Horner and Marko were furious about the incident. And unsurprisingly so, the team lost at least 20 points.
“At the next collision, we will have to do a team order, although we are actually against it,” revealed Marko to Sports Bild.
“We got Max because of his speed and his aggressiveness. Then you have to live with the fact that sometimes sparks fly.”
Max went on to explain to Servus TV that the relationship between the two drivers and the team hadn’t changed and will remain advantageous.
“We talked immediately after the crash, and I cannot imagine it will change our good relationship,” said Verstappen.
Red Bull are expecting some upgrades to arrive in Spain giving them what they hope, a chance of closing the difference between Red Bull and the top 2 teams.
