'Red Bull ends partnership with two Formula 2 drivers'

It looks like Red Bull is going to make some changes in the Junior Team. In any case, a German, 18-year-old talent will join the team. The Austrians announced on Thursday that Tim Tramnitz has joined the squad. Tramnitz is scheduled to compete in Formula 3 next season. Meanwhile, it seems to be the end of the story for two drivers Red Bull Racing currently supports in Formula 2.

Tramnitz competed in the FRECA championship last season. In it, the driver from Hamburg is currently third in the championship standings. He also tested a Formula E car on behalf of ABT Cupra during the rookie test in Berlin. He also competed for MP Motorsport in a Formula 3 car. F3 is also the class in which Red Bull hopes to see Tramnitz compete next season.

On Instagram, Red Bull welcomed the German driver: "We’re excited to welcome Tim to the roster of promising young talents. Wishing him the best of luck this weekend in Zandvoort for Round 9 of FRECA," tells the team.

Not all current Red Bull talents have bright futures within the Austrian team. According to David Dicker, owner of F2 team Rodin Carlin, Red Bull is saying goodbye to Enzo Fittipaldi and Zane Maloney after the current season. Speaking to English newspaper The Mirror, he says: "They're not going to be supported by Red Bull next year, as far as I know. Let's face it, [Red Bull] already have more good drivers than seats, so what's the point of trying."

Dicker is also highly critical of how Red Bull handles its talents. "The support for most of the guys in these junior teams is next to zero, from the information that I have," says the team boss.
