Red Bull clinches another championship and receives award

Red Bull Racing just keeps winning championships this Formula 1 season. After world titles in drivers and constructors, the team has now also won the DHL Fastest Pitstop Award.

Today, Jonathan Wheatley, sporting director of Red Bull Racing, was presented with the DHL Fastest Pitstop Award. There is still a race to go, but the team is now unbeatable in the championship for fastest pitstops and so the award has already been presented.

In recent years, Red Bull proved mostly unbeatable when it came to pit stop speed, but the new rule introduced by the FIA last year made the challenge a lot harder for the team. McLaren proved to be a fierce opponent by making the fastest stop with regularity and also taking the fastest stop of the season to its name with Daniel Ricciardo, but in the end it is still Red Bull that walks away with the prize.
