Christian Horner reveals that
Honda's engines are at a "very similar" level to Renault's engines.
A few weeks ago, Red Bull announced their decision to switch engine suppliers from Renault to Honda.
Team principal Christian Horner has now revealed that the performance from both engines are "very similar" to each other.
Red Bull driver
Max Verstappen said at the British Grand Prix last weekend, that their power shortfall was costing Red Bull a second per lap on the straights.
Toro Rosso driver
Pierre Gasly, who also run on Honda engines, gave a similar review of the engine's performance.
RaceFans.net asked Horner if he was worried that the new engine hasn't gave his team an immediate improvement in their performances.
"I think that you can see the situation between the engines is very similar at the moment," Horner said.
"It's all about the potential development.
"This weekend's been a very tough weekend for Renault. It just very clearly defines where the level is at.
"You cannot hide behind the statistics of what we've seen this weekend.
"So there is a gap to fill and hopefully in Honda... we have a lot of belief in what they have coming in the pipeline."
