RB18 merges all ideas: ''The Red Bull is really something special''

Red Bull Racing are the team in the spotlight in Barcelona. Ted Kravitz has also noticed the new RB18 and he is waxing lyrical about Adrian Newey's new design.

In the run-up to the winter test in Barcelona, Red Bull was very secretive about the new RB18 and during the test it became clear why. The new creation of Adrian Newey's team is a masterpiece. We'll have to wait and see if the car is actually fast, but all the technological marvels can be found on the RB18.

According to Kravitz, Red Bull is the story of the morning. ''That [Red Bull] car has all the bells and whistles on it that we've seen as ideas cropped up in individual form on every other car in the pit lane. It's got the low nose, it's got the little main flap of the front wing that's detached from the nose, it's got the little hole that Ferrari have, it's got the sculpted side pods of the Mercedes, it's got all the tricks that we've seen individually on each car, on one car,'' Kravitz at Sky Sports clearly impressed.

''It's super impressive to see the design work on that Red Bull. Hugely impressive. Mercedes looks like every Mercedes, the Red Bull is something very different.'' That the car is special was evident during the morning session. After the first images of the car were leaked, James Key and Lewis Hamilton came to have a personal look at the new car.
