Racing Point CEO and team principal Otmar Szafnauer hopes to repeat a result like the one in Baku two weekends ago, as both Lance Stroll and Sergio Pérez finished well within the points in the team's best performance of the season.
Barcelona always marks the introduction of the first upgrades for most of the teams, which usually causes a bit of a reshuffle on the grid. With their best race of the season coming recently, Szafnauer knows how important it is to keep the positive momentum going.
“Barcelona – the first European race of the year – is always an important milestone," he explains.
"It’s the time when most teams bring big updates and we are no exception with a combination of mechanical and aerodynamic parts to try out on Friday.
"I’m not expecting any major surprises this weekend, but I’d like to see us remain at the front of the midfield fight and scoring points once again.”
