Pirelli has announced which tyres will be used at the Grands Prix of Canada, Austria and Great Britain. For the next two races - a sprint race is also scheduled in Austria - the Italian tyre supplier will opt for the softest compounds. Pirelli announced this in a press release.
According to Pirelli, traction on corner exits and stability under braking will be crucial in Montreal a week from now. That is why the Italians are opting for the three softest tyres currently available.

So fourteen days later in Austria, these compounds will also come along. Spielberg has the fewest number of corners on the F1 calendar, making the softest tyres the best.
Finally, Pirelli already revealed which tyres will be used at Silverstone during the British Grand Prix. A harder compound will be chosen then. Incidentally, this is also the race in which Pirelli will introduce the tyres with an improved structure. "Pirelliâs new specification of tyre will make its debut on a track that is well-known for putting high lateral energy loads through the rubber, as a result of the many fast corners. This new specification, tried out by the teams during Friday free practice in Spain, is more resistant to fatigue thanks to the introduction of an already-homologated material originally planned for 2024, but is otherwise exactly the same as the specification that will be used up to the Austrian Grand Prix," the Italians report.
