Oscar Piastri has once again beaten Lando Norris during a qualifying session, which is starting to become the norm. Sky Sports analyst Karun Chandhok believes he knows the reason. Speaking on Sky Sports' broadcast of the Canadian Grand Prix, the former F1 driver delved into
the complicated situation for Norris revealing telling stat.
"We have had 12 qualifying sessions, including the two Sprint Qualifyings, this year and on six of occasions weekends Lando has said he didn't do a good enough job."
So far Piastri has won 5 races to Norris' 2.
'Norris cracks under pressure'
After failing to deliver Norris is often hard on himself, which Chandhok himself can understand.
"It's annoying for him because it was a weekend where he was ahead of Oscar but when it mattered most it didn't happen," he added.
Why didn't it happen? For the former F1 driver there's a clear explanation: "The cars are equal, they are equally talented and it's about delivering the lap under pressure."
