Otmar Szafnauer speaks on 2019 lineup

Force India Principal Otmar Szafnauer has released a statement confirming the teams 2019 line up.

Lance Stroll was officially confirmed as the partner for Sergio Perez following his father Lawrence’s takeover of the team and with it their rebrand to Racing Point Force India.

“I’m pleased that we can finally confirm Lance’s arrival to race alongside Sergio next year. It gives us an exciting line-up with the perfect blend of youth, talent, and experience.

“Lance is only twenty and already has two years of Formula One experience under his belt, as well as a podium finish and a front row start. We see huge potential in Lance and believe we can create an environment in which he can flourish.” Said Szafnauer.

In the same statement, the Romanian placed on record his thanks to the departing Esteban Ocon.

Ocon was the man who clashed with Verstappen and the Brazilian Grand Prix.
