In the final part of Q1, there was quite a bit of chaos on the track. Everyone was trying to catch a good slipstream at the last minute and nobody wanted to be the lead driver. That led to some tricky moments.
Among those were Esteban Ocon and Kimi Raikkonen. Ocon sat at the front of those looking to start their fastest lap and the drivers behind him would all benefit. Raikkonen was the first in the queue behind, but the Frenchman wouldn't let him past and they were very close to each other.
Ocon was investigated for this incident, but the race management decided in the end not to punish him. According to them, Ocon had to swerve for Latifi before that lap. It was a combination of factors that made the final situation inevitable. The FIA also believes that it was not a dangerous situation.
