For Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon the first free practice was an eventful session. The drivers hit each other, forcing both to retire. Despite the incident, Ocon is looking forward to the rest of the weekend.
"We started the weekend positively, despite the incident this morning," Ocon told Sky Sports after the practice sessions. "Luckily for Sergio and myself, we didn't lose that much time on track, which is important now that the sessions are only an hour long."

Ocon won't stop at crash

Helmut Marko put his hand to his own and laid the blame on Sergio Perez, but Ocon is not pointing a finger of blame. "It was an unfortunate incident, but we were able to put it behind us and continue to focus on the afternoon. The mechanics have done a great job in getting the car ready on time," Ocon continued.
"We have a good base to work with. There are still some things to be tweaked on the balance, but the car is working well here," said Ocon, who also indicated he is looking forward to the rest of the weekend.
