Lando Norris' 'cheeky' tow from Oscar Piastri, a matter of chance, or a weekend-long masterplan from Norris? Both spoke their piece to media including GPblog after the qualifying session in Spain.
For Piastri, the not so 'nice' feeling of giving someone a tow as they start their lap, was merely a coincidence, but that nonetheless requires a sit-down, he said: "I went out very early for the first run of Q3 and I think it was just coincidence that Lando ended up behind me opening the lap."
"So, of course, when you cross the line to start your lap, it's maybe not the nicest feeling, but we'll discuss it. I mean, there's nothing untoward going on, unless Lando's going to spill his master plan. I think it was just coincidence," the world championship leader concluded.

Norris' masterplan to get the edge on Piastri in Spain, or just a coincidence?

Norris then quipped: "We planned it the whole weekend," and shortly after burst into laughter. "No, I mean, I didn't know Oscar was going to go first, to be honest. It's just [that] I tried to get a slipstream from someone."
"I think I was unlucky that it was Oscar. So, yeah, it was just a coincidence. I mean, I was tenth or something in the queue."
"I don't know who I'm going to get a slipstream from because you're waiting like two minutes in the pit lane. So, yeah, it's just a coincidence."
