Lando Norris not only got pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix, but he did so obliterating the field.
After qualifying during the on the grid interviews, speaking to David Coulthard Norris said: "I knew there were a few places where I just got it right. I could get still quite a bit more time and I did exactly that. I did what I planned to do. When I plan to do something and it goes right, it normally goes very, very well. I'm very happy. It's been a good weekend for me so far so hopefully we can keep it up."

Norris sends warning to title rivals

So far whenever Norris has done a lap, he's been able to top the timing sheets. Is this a new mentality from Norris? "I don't know. I'm still very happy and you know it's just it's a long season, so I still savor this moment. Especially because this has been some of my tougher moments, up in the quali, so to put in a lap like today, to have a performance throughout this weekend like I had was pleasing for myself."
"It's just a long season but I'm excited. It's a long race tomorrow. I'm very happy with today, but I want to prove it to myself over and over again. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of it," Norris concluded.
