Norris reveals disappointment despite McLaren's Suzuka resurgence

A hydraulics problem also hindered Norris' FP2, where he finished fourth. Speaking after the conclusion of day one at the Suzuka Circuit, the defending world champion explained: "The pace is there for Oscar, not for me at the minute. Just a pretty bad day from our side, just not a lot of laps.

He concluded: "I got some laps. Probably not enough, but I was on the back foot. I just have to try to make the most of it."
