Lando Norris hit the headlines after the Portuguese Grand Prix after he spoke out about Lewis Hamilton's 92nd victory. Norris soon regretted his comments.

Norris on Hamilton

After the GP in Portimao Norris was asked about Hamilton's performance, to which he replied that everybody would win in that car and that that car should win every race. In the days that followed Norris would receive a lot of criticism about this, after which he apologised. The Brit now looks back on that moment.
''There is probably nobody else in the paddock I respect more than Lewis and what he has achieved. I was on the podium once, so I can't say at all that he's not doing a good job, because I know how tough it is to be on the podium once at all,'' Norris told Motorsport-total.com.

Making mistakes

''I feel like I'm a nice guy who always tries to be nice, but I also try to tell the truth sometimes. But sometimes people don't want to hear what is true. On the other hand, sometimes I say things I shouldn't have said because I didn't think about it properly.''
However, the McLaren driver has learned from it. ''It's also human to make mistakes, it happens to everyone. I didn't mean it badly at all. It was an emotional moment that every driver goes through sometimes. I made a mistake and I am sure I will make mistakes in the future," concluded the Brit.
