Norris declares: 'I think I was there almost every day last week'

Lando Norris is experiencing a strong season at McLaren. The driver seemed to get his first victory during the Russian Grand Prix, but due to heavy rainfall this didn't happen. However, the successes are there to stay which is partly due to the time and energy which Norris puts into his team.

The Brit tells Motorsport-total.com that he doesn't only show his face at the team around the Formula 1 weekends, but that he also finds it important to visit the factory often. "I've been with the team a bit longer, so I've noticed the changes. And I live nearby, about three minutes from the factory, so I'm always there. I think I was there almost every day last week."

Norris states that he maintains good relationships with the employees. "Sometimes I even go out to dinner with some of them and visit the different departments. Not because I have to, but because I just want to see how everyone is doing and say 'hello'."

The McLaren driver still has a chance to finish third in the world championship. While Norris is in fourth place with 139 points, Valtteri Bottas has 12 points more.
