Haas is not having its best season in Formula 1. Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin did not come close to scoring points, which puts the team at the bottom of the world standings. Nevertheless, Guenther Steiner keeps faith.
The Haas team boss was already banking on the current results prior to the season. "Our season so far has gone as planned, if not better than expected," states Steiner to Formelaustria.at, who sees the year as a transitional season. "We were all aware of that. Mick is making huge progress, but Nikita is still behind at the moment. There is always a driver at the front and one behind, that's just how it goes."

Steiner charmed by Verstappen

Steiner meanwhile is watching the battle at the front of the field with great interest. Mercedes and Red Bull Racing are competing with each other for the time being. Whereas Lewis Hamilton went home with three Grand Prix wins, Max Verstappen only won the race in Imola.
Personally, Steiner is charmed by Verstappen. "It will be interesting because Mercedes and Red Bull Racing are very close to each other. Neutrally, of course, it would be nice if Max wins, so that the championship remains open. Max is doing a great job and he is driving aggressively."
