Mercedes think Honda will be a threat in 2021

2020 is perhaps Mercedes' most dominant season to date. Their lead over both Red Bull Racing and Ferrari has increased, bringing them the constructors' title. Still, Toto Wolff doesn't think they can take it easy next year.

Honda a threat for 2021

In addition, Red Bull continues to make new aerodynamic updates, and in 2021 they will have a completely new power source from Honda. Wolff takes into account that the Red Bull team will be stronger next year, so there is no guarantee that Mercedes will remain equally dominant.

In addition, 2021 will be Honda's last year in Formula 1, so Wolff thinks they will give everything they can to provide Red Bull with a good source of power.

"Red Bull Racing will be more motivated than ever. Honda will really want to go for it again in their final season. Max is also doing a fantastic job, he'll be very motivated too," said the Mercedes team boss to Motorsport.com.
