Mercedes: Ferrari quickest "then the rain came"

The Mercedes rain dance was successful this afternoon. They'll be thankful for the rainfall which enabled them to finish ahead of rivals Ferrari.

It wasn't just Lewis Hamilton who brought home the bacon for Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas came home in second to give the German's a 1-2.

After getting out of the car, Lewis Hamilton said: "Ferrari have been quickest all weekend and we tried our best to get as close as possible.

Toto Wolff, team principal at Mercedes was also thankful after the race when speaking to Sky Sports.

"In the dry, we didn't have the pace. We could see we had a pace advantage in the wet," said Toto
