Mazepin wants to return to F1 and has interesting example

Nikita Mazepin isn't done with Formula One just yet. At the Russian MatchTV the former Haas F1 driver revealed that he will try to take his chance at the next opportunity.

Mazepin was forced to leave Formula 1 after just one season. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, his team, Haas, decided to terminate the contract with main sponsor UralKali during the first week of testing in 2022 and with that Mazepin also had to leave the team.

His replacement who got into the car at the last minute is Kevin Magnussen. The Dane returned to Haas after a year on the sidelines. Mazepin calls Magnussen his role model when he talks about his idea to return to Formula 1. "Magnussen is in good shape after his break, he proved himself and I intend to do exactly the same and repeat his success story."

The Russian was also asked about the problems that former teammate Mick Schumacher is currently experiencing and his answer was short: "I think I would say that the results speak for themselves."
