Max Verstappen revealed how becoming a father has changed his life. His daughter Lily, with Kelly Piquet, was born a year ago. The four-time
Formula 1 world champion enjoys being a father, he told People. Verstappen has always wanted to become a dad and says he is loving the experience.
"For me, it's just really nice to be able to spend time now together. And also, for me, racing is fun, it's great, but it's also a nice thing to be home," he began.
"I just love it," the Dutchman continued, explaining there has been no real surprises since Lily was born in 2025. "I mean, it's just great to be able to spend time at home. She seems to like me a lot, so that's good. We spend a lot of private time at home, so it's just really cute."
Becoming a father has also changed Verstappen's approach to his work life. He said: "I know what I want. I know I also want to take my private time and now of course you, after a race weekend you try to head home and prioritize that probably a little bit more than you used to."
Verstappen goes on beach holiday with Kelly Piquet
Before taking on the 24h Nurburgring with his GT3 team next weekend, the four-time Formula 1 world champion was seen
enjoying the beach with his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, in St. Barths, an overseas French island in the Caribbean. This comes after Kelly also accompanied Verstappen to the Miami Grand Prix as well.
