Alex Albon has agreed a deal to stay with Williams, keeping him with the team in 2027. Williams announced the news ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix and amid a difficult start to the season.
In a statement, the Thai-British driver said: “Since joining Atlassian Williams F1 Team in 2022, the transformation this team has made is difficult to put into words. One tough year doesn’t tell the full picture, and it only gives me more motivation to keep building and pushing together with the factory and our fans to achieve great things.“Our story is not over yet, so my full focus now is on doing whatever it takes to get us back up the grid.”

In a press release ahead of the event, he commented: “The Dutch Grand Prix is a significant milestone for Honda, as it's here that we're introducing our new power unit specification. It's the culmination of an intensive period of work at HRC Sakura, together with HRC UK and the Aston Martin team.
"In Hungary we saw a step forward with the new chassis. Now, with the new power unit specification already introduced, we expect to continue progressing together with the team for the rest of the season.”
