Monegask Charles Leclerc's flying start in earlier seasons has been halted this year by Ferrari's difficult season. A stain on his glittering career? Leclerc himself doesn't think so.
n an interview with Formula1.com the young driver explains what he has learned from this season: “I think it has made me a better driver, for sure, because in difficult times I have found my determination in other ways, by focusing on myself, trying to improve, and even though [we are not fighting] for podiums or wins – we are fighting for lower positions – at the end it matters just as much for me."
“And then in terms also of patience”, he continues. "I don’t think I was a very patient guy in the past but now I have to be, in the situation I am in now, and I feel like I’ve improved on that too.”

Not pointless

Even though Leclerc has not yet won this season, he has already been on the podium twice: in Austria and in England. He has also scored 67 points on his teammate Sebastian Vettel, who is experiencing an even worse season.
