Leclerc: ''Have to understand why we're so fast''.

Charles Leclerc can look back on a successful Friday. Ferrari's young Monegasque finished third in FP1, and tenth in FP2.

"Today was a positive day, but on the other hand we have to understand why. To be honest, it was a surprise for everyone. I think the following: the film day earlier this season helped us to get into the rhythm of the track," he told Motorsport.com.

He continued: "Mugello is a new job. So maybe that helped us a little. But in FP2 we were closer to where we thought we were. But everyone is close together." Leclerc praised Mugello, as an 'old-school' circuit according to him. "There's no room for error, but I think all drivers like that."
