Shortly before the start of the Miami Grand Prix, instead of the traditional drivers’ parade aboard a truck around the circuit, the
Formula 1 drivers took part in a race behind the wheel of full-size LEGO cars, clearly enjoying the unusual spectacle.
For the Monegasque, that was — at least sarcastically — the high point of Ferrari’s 2025 campaign, with the Scuderia finishing fourth in the Constructors’ Championship, failing to secure a single win and managing just seven podium finishes across the season.
“It was chaos, but probably the best race of the season for us,” the Ferrari driver joked in one of the episodes of the new season of Drive to Survive, released last February 27.
Leclerc addresses Ferrari’s true pace after dominant Bahrain showing
In contrast to last season, Ferrari appear to have begun the new regulatory cycle with renewed momentum, as the SF-26 has demonstrated impressive reliability along with encouraging one-lap performance.
During the final two hours of day three of pre-season testing in Bahrain, the Monegasque carried out a sequence of qualifying-style runs, steadily improving his lap time until posting a 1:31.992 — the only effort to break into the 1:31s — ending the session eight tenths faster than the next-best benchmark set by Kimi Antonelli on the previous day.
