Charles Leclerc has admitted that Scuderia Ferrari remains without answers to the persistent challenges they face in wet-weather conditions, following another mixed outing at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. “It’s been too many years since we’ve been struggling.”
- Charles LeclercThe Monegasque driver, who opened up about his struggles in the rain-affected qualifying session in Vegas, was quizzed on whether he had taken any meaningful learnings from the conditions ahead of subsequent races. Leclerc, however, conceded in his post-race media interaction that the team remain at a loss regarding the issue.
The 28-year-old further stated that the team will continue to try different approaches in a bid to resolve its wet-weather problems.
“Honestly, I wouldn’t be confident saying that, because it’s been too many years that we’ve been struggling. Sometimes we seem to find a way, but then we’re proved wrong very quickly after that,” he said.

“I think the best approach is that in the next wet sessions we’ll just get out on track and try many different things to find our way in those conditions, because at the moment we are really struggling,” he concluded.
The race weekend in Las Vegas featured a mix of dry and wet conditions. The qualifying session in particular was heavily impacted by rain, and Leclerc could only manage a ninth-place starting spot.
Leclerc satisfied with Vegas performance
The eight-time Grand Prix winner stated he gave his all on track despite the limitations of the SF-25 car. Leclerc finished the race in sixth place; however, a double disqualification for the McLaren drivers will see him promoted to fourth.
