Franco Colapinto has strongly criticised the excessive fireworks at the end of the Las Vegas GP, urging to consider the impact on animals.
"Do they think it’s Christmas? The money they spend on this nonsense"
- Franco ColapintoThe Las Vegas race is one of the most — if not the most — glamorous of the season, combining spectacle, light shows, and fireworks that have made the 'Sin City' famous.
Speaking to ESPN after another points-less race, the Argentine covered his ears, saying, "I can’t hear a thing," because of the fireworks, before adding, "There are dogs… the animals. It’s 10 p.m."
He then added: "Do they think it’s Christmas, you idiots? Do you know how much this costs, What the f**? The money they spend on this nonsense"

Another sour weekend for Colapinto and Alpine
Even in Las Vegas, the Argentine failed to score his first points of the season, remaining the only driver alongside Jack Doohan — the driver he replaced starting from the Imola GP — still on zero.
It wasn’t much better for his teammate, who finished just two places ahead, in a season Alpine will want to quickly forget — hoping that the new regulations and the switch to Mercedes power will allow them to make a significant step forward.
