With his victory at the Australian Grand Prix, Lando Norris leads the drivers' championship in Formula 1. The Briton has never been at the top of the championship before, so the win in Melbourne has created a new feeling for the McLaren driver. The Briton himself just doesn't seem to care much yet.
With the first race of the season marked as a success for Lando Norris and McLaren, the British driver and marque now sit a top the standings in both championships, something Norris himself has never experienced before.

Norris doesn't care about championship lead

How good does it feel to lead the pack? A pragmatic Norris answers during the post race conference: "It's great. Doesn't mean anything. I've not won it [the championship], so, I don't really care at the minute."
While Norris does have the fastest car at the moment, last season showed that the pecking order can change in the blink of an eye, with Red Bull at first dominant, but with McLaren turning the tables as of the Miami Grand Prix, and Ferrari and, at times, Mercedes as well, eventually able to compete for the top prizes. With 23 race weekends left to go on the calendar, everything is very much still to play for in both championships.
