Lando Norris may face a penalty for an infringement at the start, but his woes don't end there. At the start of the Brazilian Grand Prix, he lost first position to George Russell. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen is also working his way to the front, and made up seven positions on the first lap.
Russell started better than Norris, taking the lead from his compatriot. With another penalty hanging over the McLaren driver's head, it was an anything-but-ideal start to the race. What is also worrying for Norris is the fact that Max Verstappen is flying through the field. The Dutchman was already in the top eight on lap six, while he started from P17. This start could, therefore, be crucial for the championship, as Verstappen's disappointing qualifying seemed to be the perfect opportunity for Norris to catch up with Verstappen, who hasn't won a race since June.
