Kubica questioned Williams' preference for Russell during Monaco Grand Prix

After being in a higher position than teammate George Russell but not getting to pit first out of the two drivers, Robert Kubica went on team radio to question the call, before his impressive P15 got taken away from him by a collision with Antonio Giovinazzi.
Kubica had a good start to the race, winning two places and holding on as the race progressed, and he was in front of teammate Russell after the overtake.
However, despite his preferable position, Russell was the driver who was called into the pitlane first under the Safety Car, leaving question marks for the Grand Prix winner.
"I thought that the driver who is in front gets priority over who is behind," said Kubica as Russell came in for his stop before the Pole.
The response was that it would be discussed post-race.

Kubica was still in a better place than Russell afterwards, until he got hit by Giovinazzi's Alfa Romeo at Rascasse, effectively ending his race.
"What can I say?" he told Eleven Sports.
“As is usual in Monaco, there was not much else going on. I gained two positions in the first corner and was then driving my rhythm.
“A lot of people said that I would not be able to drive here, so it was good to finish. Overall, the race was quite good, but the strategy was not the best. That’s it”
The choice to give preference to the reigning Formula 2 champion over Kubica even when Kubica was ahead must feel bad for the 34-year-old, who had a very solid outing before the Giovinazzi-hit.
