Kimi Raikkonen is set to finish his second F1 stint and retire from the sport at the end of the 2020 season and the Finn has revealed that his eyes are on a return to rallying with the WRC, claiming he wants to win the title.
Raikkonen raced full time in the WRC in 2010 and 2011, during his time away from F1, finishing tenth in both seasons with a best finish of fifth.
Being from Finland, rallying would be an obvious career choice for Raikkonen, and he says that winning the title in WRC could be even better than his F1 success.
In the Red Bull magazine Red Bulletin, Raikkonen said how much it would mean to be victorious in WRC: “More than my Formula 1 championship. Nobody has done it before, that is another aspect that makes it interesting."
