I am a passionate and knowledgeable Formula 1 fan who has watched the sport since age five, watching every single race. Having karted competitively throughout my teens, I understand what it takes to be a racing driver, and every aspect of motorsports fascinates me. I am now studying sports journalism at the University of Gloucestershire with the hopes of one day landing a dream role in motorsport. As well as English, I speak Spanish fluently after living there for some time when I was younger.
The Verstappen household had reason to celebrate as Jos Verstappen secured victory in a rally event in northern Sweden. The Rally With No Name in Scandinavia featured 11 stages over three days, and Jos Verstappen, alongside co-driver Renaud Jamoul, dominated the event by winning nine of them. Jos Verstappen also made headlines a few days ago when he debunked a social media statement about his son Max's future. A journalist claimed that Max Verstappen would drive for Mercedes' team from 2026, but Jos responded via X to debunk this. "Jack, Jack, Jack. What nonsense you are talking about," Max's father wrote on the platform.

Jos recently gave an interview to De Telegraaf about his rallying exploits. "Ten years ago, I didn't think I would drive so many rallies. But I just need this, I enjoy it immensely," the 53-year-old explained. He was then also asked if rallying is something for his son Max. "No, not at the moment. I don't think he is interested right now either. But I'm sure if he ever starts doing this, he will be sold," he concluded.
Max Verstappen takes to the track this weekend as Formula 1 returns for the first race of 2025 in Australia. It's an early start for fans in the northern hemisphere, with the race kicking off at 4am GMT.
