Jos Verstappen proud of Max: "Won't experience that very often"

Jos Verstappen proudly looks back on his son's dominant season. Max Verstappen recorded his 15th win of the season in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Jos stresses that will not happen again just like that.

"Everyone was, of course, watching the fight for two and three, but for me Max was of course the most important. Fifteen wins, you're not going to see that very often anymore. We just have to really enjoy that because he did a fantastic job," Jos said in a conversation with Viaplay.

He continued: "He's just very strong. He knows what he is doing with the tyres, he just controls it and he has some left at the end." He stresses that the strong car from the hand of Adrian Newey has also made a big contribution to that. "We are enjoying it."

Even his father did not expect the current level of dominance Verstappen is showing. "Of course, there were a lot of new regulations, and especially after a year like last year, you just don't know how you will come out of it. From the very beginning, we did have a good car and I think during the year we quietly improved the car," Jos Verstappen said.
