After a long period of Max Verstappen not retiring with his Red Bull car, what not many people expected happened in Australia. The reigning world champion suffered problems with his right rear brake, which caused him to DNF. Peter Windsor explains why Formula 1, even with a winning Verstappen, is not boring.
Carlos Sainz finished the race in Melbourne on the top step of the podium. In the past 12 months, Verstappen has won almost every race, with a few exceptions, which means that many people do not watch the top class of motorsport. Whereas in 2021, it was exciting between Lewis Hamilton and the Dutchman.

Windsor gives his findings on 'dullness' of F1 with Verstappen

Windsor says on his YouTube channel after the race in which Verstappen suffered a DNF: "Well, of course, it was much more interesting the minute Max went out. If people think racing is boring because Max is winning, then they have either been poorly advised as to what's going on, because racing is never boring."
"But if the race commentator on TV is saying, oh, this is really boring, those who are ready to go to the football after this, get ready to press button B, whatever, of course the fans are going to start thinking this is boring. But if it's presented correctly, in my opinion, it's not boring," Windsor says.
