The Bahrain Grand Prix already hinted at it, but the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix confirmed those suspicions: the new regulations that have been introduced are paying off. The first two races of the year showed intense duels between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, to the delight of Formula 1 fans worldwide. The fight for victory in Jeddah also generated a lot of reactions.

Perez responds with sporty tweet

Sergio Perez 's reaction stands out. The Mexican seemed to be on his way to turning his pole position into a win, but was unlucky that Red Bull Racing brought him in just before Nicholas Latifi crashed resulting in a safety car.
"Sometimes luck is not on your side, but there are plenty of positives to take from the weekend. Congratulations to Max Verstappen for his first win of the season; great team result!" reads Perez's tweet.
The mutual respect between Verstappen and Leclerc has not escaped viewers worldwide either. Many comments point to the sporting attitude the two have towards each other, as well as the contrast with the title fight in 2021.
