Charles Leclerc had set the fastest Q3 time following the first run in the session, but all drivers had one last chance to improve when the red flags dropped. The result? Leclerc had crashed and the Ferrari car was damaged the barriers. It is clear Leclerc didn't crash on purpose, but fans on Twitter are having discussions.

People so salty he got pole. I doubt he crashed on purpose. Why damage a car which was fastest on track? Next time he should have done a Rosberg and 'miss' the braking point at Mirabeau Haute and just park it there.

Lmao salty people. Apparently these keyboard warriors have more knowledge than the drivers themselves. Verstappen agreed it was a mistake, he had done the same mistake twice there and that Leclerc doesn’t deserve a penalty
